In Brazil, and many other countries for that matter, 90% of the population uses gas cylinders to provide their homes with gas for cooking family dinners. However, these gas cylinders need to be replaced every few weeks. The old world distribution model is currently leading, Chama provides an alternative solution which aims to empower all Brazilians by providing them with a mobile platform where they can choose their preferred dealer based on price, quality and estimated delivery time.

Chama App was founded in November 2016 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Shortly after it started its software development it launched its marketplace for cooking gas in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2018 I joined the company as a Head of Design to o establish the design culture and build a design team that works across the ocean (Sao Paulo and Amsterdam). And here are some highlights of this journey:
